Relaxing puzlly roll and write like game released
Pick a piece village is officially released.
This was inspired by the idea of making a digital roll and write game, a year ago while I was still among my card/board game designs, as the virus came about and made all that even more complicated. So I wanted a relaxing game that you could play alone or compete with others, which helped have daily/seeded games from the start. There was a lot that drived the design, one of the most helpful parts was the art by pixel-boy I found at the start that meant I could make it in a fun themed package, as that's always the most significantly limiting factor.
Long story short for this announcement post, the end result is a puzzly game you can comfortably play, at varying levels of strategy from placing the pieces you see based on their scoring, to planning how to unlock the characters, to checking the deck to see the likelihood of what might be coming.
And for daily I have the extra layer of replaying with the deck in order-so you don't have to try and memorize when things came out, you can just have fun trying to optimize that days board. This can be extra fun for a daily like the screenshots in this post which had some really difficult values to work with, making it a challenge to see what you could get out of it (55 is not the average score at all haha).
This is my first significant non-gamejam release, which has had me scared to make it public after playing it in a practically complete state for over 6 months, so I really hope you get to have an enjoyable time with this.
And after a time playing it I'd also appreciate any feedback, or if able completing this feedback form, to round out a final release of it for its final mobile release. Tutorials especially, never work the same for everyone, but I'm hoping the latest revisions have improved that experience and would especially like to hear about that.
